Ballistol and Metal
Ballistol is widely used in the precision gauge and tool industry and in the production of scales and other precision instruments. Ballistol forms a protective film on the surface of metals. Due to its low superficial tension, it is capable of creeping into the finest cracks and fissures in metal surfaces. It dissolves lead, copper and tombac. It also cleans and shines silver and brass.
Ballistol and Leather
Ballistol effectively protects leather against damage by water, insects and fungi. If the leather has been properly processed, Ballistol will form permanent chemical compounds within the leather which will actually make it impermeable to water. It neutralizes residues of tannic acid in leather.
Ballistol and Wood
Ballistol protects, preserves and rejuvenates all natural wood surfaces. It enhances the woodgrain and protects against humidity and insect damage. It´s ideal for antique furniture!
Ballistol and the Environment
This product is made from natural substances. The aerosol uses No CFC´s.
Ballistol is also available in cans and drums up to 200 litres. It is save for people and pets. Neither its use nor its natural decomposition will pollute the environment.

Perhaps the most astounding feature of Ballistol is its universality ...There are other protectants/lubricants on the market, but none has the same wide range of applications as Ballistol. Ballistol can be used to clean, to preserve, to protect, to prevent corrosion, to maintain and to impregnate, to disinfect and to rejuvenate items made of metal, smooth leather, unpainted wood, and all common har plastics.
Other Features ...
In an emulsion with water, Ballistol its slightly alkaline (pH 8 -8.5), and is therefore capable of neutralizing acids. It removes ink of ballpoint pens. It cleans hardbaked soot from glass doors of wood stoves and fire places. It frees faucets blocked by calcium residues. Unlike other leading brands, Ballistol emulsifies with water. Water will separate the leading brand from metal, but Ballistol mixes with the water and penetrates it. When the water evaporates, Ballistol stays behind and protects the metal, or plastic or wood.
Ballistol does not resinify. Most other technical oils harden with time. Ballistol, however, contains a combination of anti-oxidants and medical oils, which make it less susceptible to aging.
Ballistol can be applied directly with a brush, sprayed, added to water, etc.
Our Pump Sprayer is equally effective as any aerosol-filled can. The container of 650 ml is big enough for working a long time with it, but small enough for easy handling. In combination with the 500 ml can or the 5 Litre canister the pump sprayer is the most economic alternative to aerosols. BALLISTOL is also available in cans and barrels up to 200 litres. In all cases you want to apply BALLISTOL, punctiform, the BALLISTOL Oil Pencil will do the work perfectly. Just fill the empty pencil with BALLISTOL, press on the cap, and it is ready for use! A slight squeeze of thumb and index on the pencil and you can dose drop by drop, no oil is wasted!
