Blanking plug
oil drain and oil filler - non magnetic plug with tapered 3/8" NPT thread with 18 TPI and square head
NPT and NPTF are United States national technical standards for screw threads used on threaded pipes and pipe fittings.
NPT (american national pipe thread) is a tapered pipe thread 1:16, where an additional sealant such as teflon tape or hemp must be placed between the threads when screwing conventional pipe threads together. In contrast, NPTF (dryseal american national pipe thread) is a self-sealing, tapered pipe thread 1:16.
Compared to the Whitworth thread BSP or BSPT (British Standard Pipe), the diameter, the threads per inch and the taper angle are slightly different, so that the two threads cannot be screwed together.
