This gas tester requires just DC 12 Volt and can be simply run off a regular car battery. The pulse pump just uses the pressure built up within the exhaust system, there actually isn’t a moving part that could wear out or needs to be cleaned. Water gets separated in the built-in water trap. It is accurate to 0.5 % C.O. measurement and can be easily calibrated in air.
