60 years after its world premiere, the E-Type is a vehicle that, with its performance, does not have to hide behind any modern car and hardly any other vehicle - apart from the Mini - embodies the spirit of the 60s.

The success story of the E-Type began in 1961 at the Geneva Motor Show and was like a drumbeat. The trade press was full of praise and the public reacted enthusiastically, because the appearance and technology are impressive: Tubular frame at the front, self-supporting body from the windscreen; its aerodynamic shape, folding front end, independent suspension and disc brakes on all wheels with internal brakes at the rear. The work of art was powered by the XK's well-established six-cylinder engine at its highest power output to date. It is estimated that more than half of the 79,000 Etypes built in three series still exist. Its popularity among restorers is not least due to the very good spare parts situation, almost all parts are available from us.
