Jaguar XK spare parts
The Jaguar XK models are still sporty by today's standards. So the Jaguar developers
under the direction of William Lyons did everything right. Even the
type designation XK120 was a shock for the whole industry, because the
top speed it indicated broke all records. A car that went 120 mph! The
fastest production car of the time, the Brough Superior 100, only went
100 mph (160km/h). And most passenger cars reached barely half that.
And it was elegant too: free-standing front wings, but already a pontoon shape, with rear wheel covers. To test the car's real performance,
Ron Sutton drove a near-standard XK120 on the nearest accessible
highway, at Jabbeke near Ostend, in May 1949. By the end of the day, the
XK had set a new world record for production cars with a speed of 132 mph over the flying mile. The car world was upside down!
And the young Jaguar company had a bestseller. The famous XK model range
remained in the sales programme until 1961. How to preserve your XK?
With Jaguar XK spare parts from Limora, of course!
